Steam HOT10021 Terminator Bench Clamp/Vise
Features:
The Terminator Vise is an innovative tool specifically designed for assembling, adjusting, and disassembling RC helicopters.
- Versatile Functionality: The vise features threaded holes (M2, M2.5, M3) and countersunk holes (2–13mm) to support tasks like link rod adjustments, bearing removal, and component clamping.
- Enhanced Safety: The universal arms allow precise adjustments while preventing direct hand contact during welding or other processes.
- User-Friendly Design: Most components come pre-assembled, ensuring a hassle-free setup.
Explanations:
The Steam Terminator series tools feature a modular design, allowing for customization to fit specific helicopter models. These tools can be purchased individually for targeted functionality and cost-effectiveness or as a full set for a comprehensive solution. Designed for RC helicopters ranging from the 250 to 800 classes, the Steam Terminator tools cover all conventional models. Not only are these tools exquisitely crafted and practical, but even those unfamiliar with helicopter mechanics can enjoy using them to relieve stress, enhance creativity, and stimulate the mind.
Terminator Vise, a highly efficient tool specifically developed for the assembly, adjustment, and disassembly of RC helicopters.
Upon unboxing, you’ll find that most components are already pre-assembled at the factory.

The base and middle slider feature M2, M2.5, and M3 threaded holes, allowing users to attach the appropriate ball heads as needed.

With reverse-threaded rods, users can easily adjust and measure the length of helicopter link rods.

The vise includes three metal blocks with 13 countersunk holes, ranging from 2mm to 13mm in diameter. These holes are designed for safely removing bearings while ensuring the protection of both the workpiece and the bearing.

Additionally, the metal blocks include multiple slots, making it convenient to clamp various components for welding or other tasks.

The vise also features gold universal arms on both sides, allowing users to adjust the angle of the workpiece or cables easily.

These arms, combined with the slots in the metal blocks, ensure a secure hold during operations such as soldering. This design enhances safety by minimizing direct hand contact with the workpiece.

The “arms” with clips have quite a bit of memory so it’s very very hard to get them to line up and stay put. You have to bend beyond where you want them and hope they creep back to where you actually want them. One of the alligator clips broke after about the 20th time trying to get the battery wire lined up with the connector I was trying to solder. Frustrating but at least they are replaceable. The ball link sizing tool is somewhat helpful but there is a lot of slop (backlash) in the threads so it’s not super accurate. No more than using a dial caliper anyway. The main clamp is useful for various building tasks but overall not quite what I expected.
