Egodrift Beta Tengu 4030HT 800Kv Helicopter Motor
Build an alternative power system for your 550–600 class RC helicopter with the Egodrift Beta Tengu 4030HT 800Kv. This version features a 6 × 38 mm external shaft.
The 4030HT platform sits between the 4025 and 4035 motor sizes. Its HT-generation design includes a taller base developed to improve cooling compared with the earlier HS generation.
800Kv — An 8S Setup Option
Consider the 800Kv winding when planning an appropriately geared 8S helicopter power system. Select the motor pinion according to your main gear and intended rotor speed.
Our general starting point is 6S for most 550 class builds and 8S when moving toward the 580–600 class. Advanced builders may choose other combinations to suit the model and intended result.
Beta HT or Eclipse?
This is the Beta Tengu 4030HT, not the newer Tengu 4030EC Eclipse. Treat them as separate motor generations when checking dimensions, installation requirements, and replacement parts.
The 4030HT uses a different shaft configuration from the 4030EC Eclipse. Do not select a service kit by the “4030” designation alone.

Installation & Replacement Parts
Confirm motor-body and canopy clearance, mounting-hole alignment, screw length, and pinion positioning before installation. Verify shaft-support bearing engagement where applicable.
Match your ESC voltage rating to the selected battery configuration and its current capability to the expected load.
For servicing, select the Egodrift 4030HT Shaft & Bearing Kit, 6 × 38 mm — EGO-11889. The 4030EC Eclipse service kit is not interchangeable.
Motor & Gearing Setup Support
Compare battery cell count, motor Kv, main gear, pinion, and ESC output using Egodrift’s Headspeed Calculator.
Egodrift recommends calculating at 3.8V per cell and aiming for approximately 80% ESC output as a starting point for governor headroom. Calculated speeds are estimates; actual results depend on battery condition, governor behavior, and flight load.
