Flywing Airwolf 470 ACE GPS/ATT RC Helicopter (RTF)
Some aircraft stay with us not simply because they appeared on television, but because they inspired an entire generation to imagine what the future of flight could be.
Airwolf premiered in 1984, featuring a cosmetically modified Bell 222 with its unmistakable black-and-white fuselage, streamlined cockpit, retractable landing gear, and futuristic mission-aircraft styling.
The Flywing Airwolf brings that legendary design to life as a highly detailed 470-class scale RC helicopter, combining classic Airwolf styling with modern ACE flight control, GNSS stabilization, automatic retractable landing gear, and up to approximately 23 minutes of reference flight time.
Classic Airwolf Returns
This generation of the Flywing Airwolf retains the classic black-and-white fuselage while introducing extensive refinements to the airframe proportions, two-blade rotor head, rivet detailing, auxiliary jet nozzles, scale accessories, and landing gear.
Whether displayed on the shelf or flying outdoors, the distinctive cockpit, low-set nose, black-and-white fuselage, compact tail, and retractable landing gear recreate the unmistakable futuristic character of Airwolf.
Refined Scale Details
- Highly detailed 470-class Airwolf scale fuselage
- Classic black-and-white Airwolf color scheme
- Refined fuselage proportions and silhouette
- Detailed rivets and panel textures
- Scale auxiliary jet nozzle details
- Belly-mounted rocket launcher styling
- Side-mounted decorative mission accessories
- Detailed retractable landing gear
- Custom two-blade rotor head
- Quick-release rotor blades
- Removable upper cover for easier inspection and maintenance
Automatic Retractable Landing Gear
One of Airwolf's most iconic features is fully integrated into the flight experience.
After takeoff, the landing gear automatically retracts when the helicopter climbs above approximately 2 meters. As Airwolf descends below approximately 2 meters during its return, the landing gear automatically extends again.
Pilots can also manually control the landing gear directly from the transmitter.
Once retracted, the landing gear disappears into the fuselage to give Airwolf the clean in-flight silhouette that made the original aircraft so recognizable.
ACE Flight Control & GNSS Stabilization
Equipped with the Flywing ACE flight control system and multi-link GNSS positioning, Airwolf combines scale appearance with modern flight assistance and stable outdoor hovering.
- Flywing ACE flight controller
- GNSS satellite positioning
- GPS self-stabilization
- Soft Takeoff and Landing assistance
- One-Key Return-to-Home
- Low-Battery Return-to-Home
- Failsafe / Out-of-Range Return-to-Home
- One-Key Inverted Flight
- Semi-Automatic Assisted Flight
- Coordinated Turning assistance
Three-Speed Flight Control
Three selectable control modes allow pilots to adjust the helicopter's response to suit their flying style:
- Soft Mode: Smooth response for getting familiar with Airwolf and relaxed flying
- Normal Mode: Balanced handling for everyday scale flying and circuits
- Sport Mode: Faster, more responsive control for increased speed and agility
Coordinated Turning adds appropriate roll input based on flight speed, helping Airwolf adopt a more natural bank angle through turns for smoother and more convincing scale flight.
Up to Approximately 23 Minutes Reference Flight Time
Enjoy longer flights without having to rush through every maneuver. Under windless hover testing at sea level, Airwolf achieved a maximum reference flight time of approximately 23 minutes.
The 4S LiPo power system provides plenty of time for stable hovering, scale passes, complete circuits, and enjoying Airwolf from different angles.
The approximately 23-minute maximum flight time is a reference result measured under specific test conditions. Actual flight time will vary depending on weather, flying style, battery condition, and other operating conditions.
